Big Tentacles: BCS Predictions, Gameday speculation, and...Vanuatu?

(Big Tentacles is the SWRT look at the Big 10 and the teams it not-so-secretly covets.)

Big Ten dream BCS Championship? Off-Tackle Empire is predicting an Ohio State vs. Nebraska BCS Championship, or current and near-future BCS powerhouses. In case you're wondering, they have Alabama vs. Michigan State in the Sugar Bowl, and Oregon vs. Boise State in the Rose Bowl. (Off Tackle Empire)

Brock Mealer on E:60. The ESPN  program has a follow-up story on Michigan's Elliott Mealer and his brother, Brock, who were involved in a 2007 auto accident. The feature follows Brock Mealer, who was paralyzed from the waste down in the accident, and his physical therapy that allowed him to lead the Wolverines onto the field at the start of this season with the aid of two canes. (M Victors)

Does College Gameday know how to Madison? Ohio State vs. Wisconsin on Oct. 16  is scheduled to be shown on ESPN for 7:00 PM EST. This of course  leads to obligatory speculation of whether ESPN College Gameday will come to Madison. (Bucky's 5th Quarter)

Now here's a putdown!

"It is Penn State week, the week we (Illinois) travel to Happy Valley, to play in front of a hundred thousand members of the cast (of) Jersey Shore."

(Hail to the Orange)

Minnesota compared to Vanuatu. The similarities of the cargo cults of Vanuatu and the behavior of the Golden Gopher's head coach Tim Brewster are eerily similar. (CBS Sports)
