Big Tentacles: Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, and more

(Big Tentacles is the SWRT look at the Big Ten and the teams it not-so-secretly covets.)

Paki O'Meara is special, so special. He's gotta have all of your attention. Iowa punter Paki O'Meara named the Big Ten's Special Team Player of the week. (Black Heart Gold Pants)

Josh Koeppel to appear on Today. The Iowa center, hit by a truck on his motor bike last week, escaped without serious injury. The video of the accident has become an internet sensation. Big enough that Koeppel will be interviewed on NBC's  Today show (hawkeyesports.com)

Not enough? Despite Saturday's win, Rich Rodriguez will still be fires at the end of the season. Because Clay Travis said so.  (Fanhouse)

Notre Dame's ratings spike. Brian Kelly's first game at Notre Dame head football coach saw a 77% rise from last year's season opener. (Rivals.com)

Penn State at Alabama. Saturday will mark the Penn State's first visit to Tuscaloosa since 1990, when the Nitny Lions beat the Crimson Tide 9-0. Joe Paterno's first visit to Tuscaloosa was, of course in 1865.

Look, I'm not saying JoePa is old, but...Joe Paterno has a copy of the King James Bible, personally autographed  to him by King James.
