Dr. Evil Adams trying to mend fences with Vince Dooley supporters ?

UGA President Dr. Evil Michael Adams' choice of Greg McGarity as Gerogia's new athletic director is being seen as  more than just trying to a put the Damon Evans debacle behind the school. It is also being seen as Dr. Evil Adams' attempt to mend fences with supporters of former AD Vince Dooley, who staged a very public buy unsuccessful campaign get Adams fired after he refused to extend Dooley's contract.
McGarity served under Vince Dooley before taking a job at Florida in 1992, where he eventually rose to the posistion of executive associate athletic director.  The Athens Banner-Herald's David Ching writes that while McGarity seen as an early frontrunner for the job of Georgia AD, his ties to Vince Dooley might  have been a little too much for Adams.
However, it seems that Adams is now trying to patch things up with the Dooley supporters who tried to oust him. What needs to come next is to try to publicly mend fences with Dooley himself, especially with Vince's son Derek coaching division rival Tennessee. Pictures of Vince Dooley in frosted orange might be a little too much for Bulldog fans.
